Friday 26 February: Yoga is in Udimore Community Hall at 9.30am. Brede Farmers Market is from 10am – 12 noon in Brede Village Hall, I couldn’t go last week, but I shall be there today as we need more of Peter’s apple juice and some vegetables and no doubt there will be something else to help me part with my money. I don’t mind as it is all fresh. At 7.30pm the Short Mat Bowls Players will also be in the main hall.

Hastings Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair at Sussex Coast College Hastings 10am-3pm for those looking for a career. There will be people offering advice and companies on hand to find what is best for you. Page 22 of the What’s on Magazine has full details.

Saturday 27 February: Village clean up. We should be grateful to Rother District Council who had a team out last week picking up rubbish along Horns Cross/Northiam Road and the road sweeper has been in action; but we still can’t be complacent as there are pockets of rubbish in the lay-bys and along the footpath from Broad oak to Brede, Chitcombe Road, Broadlands, Udimore Road and Brede Hill. One of our aims as well as picking up litter is to wash the road signs; this is no longer done by ESCC so, we have a choice either we have the community come together to do this job or the Council will have to pay someone to do it which will be costly as they will need Public Liability Insurance as well as being paid. This will knock on effect to our Council Tax. I would rather give up two hours, how about you? The Age Uk east Sussex Community club quiz is cancelled this evening but it has been rearranged for Saturday 8 October. Please contact Maureen Distin on 07850 987130.if you wish to put in a team before September 21st. There, it must be a record to announce an event.
