Brede Coffee/ Book Sale: on Saturday Morning went well despite the weather, over £60.00 was raised to go towards St Georges Church funds. Good News also last week the government gave the Church a lot of money for the roof, read about it in the Parish Magazine out this week for April. As you can imagine having such a wonderful historical building in our midst, being built in the latter 11th century, it costs an enormous amount for it’s upkeep. The building itself and the interior suffer from age related problems, such as woodworm, damp, corrosion, etc . It is hoped that the coffee mornings can be run every six weeks not only to boost funds but also for people to meet one another and chat, a chance for Village new comers to meet others and at the same time help preserve a magnificent Church with an interesting History. If you have not visited do go and look around. There is a book about St Georges for sale in the Church. A big welcome also awaits those who would like to attend a service especially over the Easter period; a special time for Christians all over the World.
