Friday 14 November: Pilates is in Udimore Community Hall at 9am. Brede Farmers Market is from 10am – 12 noon in Brede Village Hall. Keep your eyes open for those early Christmas presents as well as your weekly vegetable and meat shop. The Wea Practical Gardening: is in Udimore Community Hall, 11.15am – 1.15pm. Brede’s Short Mat Bowlers set up at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

Saturday 15 November: Brede Crafters are holding their annual craft fair from 10am – 2pm a good opportunity to find those much needed Christmas presents. The National Trust Rye and District Association are holding a Quiz Night in Beckley Village Hall please contact Julie Etches for any information 01424 662054

Sunday 16 November: Church Services: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, if you need to contact the Father his number is 01424 773125 St George’s Church begin their Family service is at 9.30am and Father Martin can be reached on 01424 883408. This morning’s service at the Broad oak Methodist Church at 10.30am Mrs Drina Hampson will take the service. St Mary’s Church Udimore hold their mornings worship at different times so please look at their Church notice board or in the Parish Magazine. This afternoon the Brede & Udimore Overseas Group are hoping to brighten up your afternoon by holding a Tea Party with lots of fun, games and a raffle in Udimore Community Hall at 3pm. Monday 17 November: Age Uk East Sussex – Brede Community Club: begins at 10.30am – 3.30pm. Please contact Maureen the Organiser for more information phone 01424 883282 or 07850 987120. Rainbows meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall, this afternoon from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, Brownies meet from 5pm – 6.30pm for girls 7-11 years old. Beavers are In the Scout Hut and welcome Boys and girls from 6years old they meet from 5.30pm to 6.30pm Cubs meet from 6.30 – 8.00pm. the latter group has vacancies for children to join, the Contact is Colin 01424 852413. Guides meet at Udimore Community Hall at 7.15pm. Contact Hayley as above. Whist: the player’s meet at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

Tuesday 18 November: Pilates are in Udimore Community Hall today at 9am. In Brede Village Hall the Painting for Pleasure group meet at 9.30am. The Rainbow Trout has a quiz night at 8pm teams of 6 are required.

Thursday 20 November: Sally starts her Stretch and Tone: class at 9.30am in Brede Village Hall. Also in the Hall but at 2pm The Rye & District National Trust introduce Russell Bowes talk ‘A nice cup of tea.’ The group also need people to go and join their friendly committee Marion Brunt would like to hear from you, phone 01424 882054 Cameo Opera evening in Brede Village Hall. Thursday 4 December: an annual event, the Cranbrook Town Band will give a night of musical entertainment in aid of our Poppy appeal at 7.45pm tickets at the door. Do try and support this event, it is a very enjoyable evening and the money raised goes to a very good cause. It always heralds the beginning of Christmas for me.

Friday 5 December: Christmas Concert in St George’s Brede 7.00pm. The programme consists of Mad Jack Mummers, a contemporary version of the Nativity by students from Bexhill High followed by Carols. Tickets for the event include a drink mince pie/sausage roll and are £7.50 for adults and £3.00 for primary aged children. They are available now from the rectory 01424 883408 or from the Church stall at the Brede Farmers Market on Friday.
