Brighton Police seek witnesses after stabbing near station

British Transport Police detectives are appealing for witness to a stabbing outside Brighton station at the junction of Trafalgar Street and Arches on August 21.

Shortly before 5.30pm, the 30-year-old victim approached two men at the top of Trafalgar Street. One of the men then threatened to stab the victim following an altercation between them, said officers.

A BTP spokesperson said the victim was then chased by both men and was subsequently stabbed twice in the arm, once they caught up with him.

The stab wounds required hospital treatment, including an operation to the victims arm, said police.

Detectives hope to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened, or who knows someone matching the following descriptions.

The first suspect is described as being a slim Asian man, in his early twenties and approximately 5ft 7ins with short dark hair.

The second suspect is described as in his twenties, black, approximately 6ft tall with an athletic build, black braided hair, a goatee beard and glasses.
