Budgens is new supplier at Gillhams in Easebourne

Owners of Gillhams petrol station at Easebourne, the Lodge and Kerridge families have done a deal with Budgens to supply their shop.

Oli Lodge told The Observer: “We have kept our incredibly popular butcher and local suppliers but we have increased our chilled and fruit and vegetable ranges with Budgens owned by Booker who are merging with Tesco.”

The site was closed for two days last week while refurbishment took place but has now reopened.

Mr Lodge said two other petrol stations in the ownerships of the families, at West Meon Hut and Lee-On-The_Solent would also be switching to Budgens.

“Our former supplier Nisa’s range of fresh and chilled goods was relatively limited and we wanted to benefit from the better range,” said Mr Lodge. “The ownership of the site is still the same - we have just changed our supply agreement.”
