Burglars makeoff with tools

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after intruders broke into two blocks of flats being built in Bexhill and stole tools.

They went to the flats in Collington Avenue and used a stand from a cement mixer to jemmy the main door, causing £1,500 worth of damage. Tools worth between £1,200 and £1,400 were taken from the site and other items were placed ready to be remove, but it is believed the burglars were disturbed.

They made have driven a white transit van into Brampton Close and then climbed over the fence to get into the site around midnight on Saturday July 2 or in the early hours of Sunday July 3.
