Busy start to 2015 for Midhurst camera club

KEEN photographers already have several important dates to add to their 2015 calendars.

A busy programme of events is on offer at the start of the new year for Midhurst Camera Club.

Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings at Cowdray Hall in Easebourne and start at 7.45pm.

Speaker and ‘practical’ evenings are also open to non-members for a charge of £5.

On February 4 there is a print competition for the Beaton Cup with the subject ‘transport’. The judge for the competition will be
Rob de Ruiter.

The following week, on February 11, there will be a practical evening to help photographers understand lighting.

On February 18, Alan Fretton will speak on his ‘Trans-Siberian odyssey’.

Alan Fretten has been widely published with his pictures of the rock band Wishbone Ash and has been a finalist in the ‘Wanderlust’ travel photo of the year four times.

The Trans-Siberian is one of the great railways of the world. This journey takes the audience through Russia, Mongolia and into China from Moscow to Beijing, 7,865ks in all and through eight different time zones.
