CCTV footage shows the moment thief raided an Arundel café

POLICE are today (March 24) appealing for help in identifying a ‘brazen thief’ who plundered a café in Arundel.

At around 5.15pm on Friday, March 6, a man came into Gaskyns, in Queen Street and approached a staff member.

He then asked the cashier for some keys which had been handed in and were in the back office.

As the cashier went to speak to her manager, the man has leant over the counter and stolen money from the till.

PC Jay Shah said: “We are hoping someone can identify him as he has brazenly stolen about £250 from the till.”

The man is described as white, aged between 25 and 35-years-old, approximately 5ft 10in to 6in, medium build with short dark coloured hair.

He was seen wearing a purple long sleeved jumper with a chequered shirt underneath, skinny blue denim jeans and white plimsoll style trainers.
