Chichester and Worthing court results

THE FOLLOWING are court results for Chichester and Worthing magistrates’ courts for September 14, 15, 17 and 18.

Alan Young, 27, of Monterey Gardens, Bognor Regis, was given a community order with 12-week curfew between 8pm and 6am, electronically monitored, after admitting causing £399.99 damage to a TV and causing £200 damage to a window in Bognor Regis on May 15, 2015; assault by beating in Bognor Regis on July 6, 2015; and failing to surrender to custody on July 20, 2105. He must pay £399.99 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, a total of £255 costs and £150 criminal courts charge. No action was taken after he admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Daniel Ryan, 22, of Lockgate Road, Sidlesham Common, was given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting assaulting a police constable on July 25, 2015. He must pay £150 compensation, £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge. Having been convicted of an offence while under a community order, the order was revoked and he was dealt with for the original offences and given three further 12-week prison sentences, suspended for 12 months, for two charges of assault and one of using threatening words or behaviour.

Christopher Peters, 25, of Green Lane, Chichester, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting damaging a SIM card in Chichester on April 24, 2015.

Rafal Damasiewicz, 29, of Durlston Drive, Bognor Regis, was fined £100 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting being drunk in Marine Parade, Worthing, on August 30, 2015.

Leon O’Dell, 47, of Parkfield Avenue, Bognor Regis, was fined £370 and must pay £37 victim surcharge, £120 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting drink-driving (63mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Parkfield Road, Bognor Regis, on June 22, 2015. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Jazmin Peters, 25, of Sussex Village, Manor Way, Elmer, was fined £155 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting drink-driving (80mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Nyetimber Road, Bognor Regis, on August 31, 2015. She was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

Scott Taylor, 40, of Sandymount Avenue, Bognor Regis, was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting stealing £10,469.46 worth of lighting products from JCC Lighting Products in Bognor Regis between January 31 and June 11, 2015. He must carry out 120 hours’ unpaid work and pay £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £180 criminal courts charge.
