Children's Book Festival at the De La Warr Pavilion

THE HIGHLY successful Bexhill Children's Book Festival returns to the De La Warr Pavilion on 26th September.

The one-day literary spectacular is set to once again delight both children and adults alike as the Pavilion is taken over with book readings, crafts, workshops, puppet theatre, and the chance to meet award winning authors.

Celebrating ten years of her hugely successful Clarice Bean books, author and illustrator Lauren Child will be discussing this special series before signing copies for fans.

Joining Lauren are a host of other popular writers including Caroline Lawrence, Steve Cole and Dawn Casey.

Dawn promises 'a magical experience for all the family' as she enthrals and captivates the audience with her interactive storytelling session, which is based on her latest book The Barefoot Book of Earth Tales.

Steve Cole will talk about his 'Astrosaurs' and 'Cows in Action' series '“ a world where dinosaurs fly spaceships and cows use a time machine.

Caroline Lawrence shares the secrets of her award winning series 'The Roman Mysteries' and will demonstrate how she uses Roman artefacts to give her clues for her stories.

Actively encouraging audience participation as they race each other around the auditorium, Puppet theatre IDOLRICH will be performing the Hare and the Tortoise.

Doors open at 10.45am, ticket prices start at 1 and a special children's lunchbox will also be available at 4.50.
