JUST under £8,000 in grant cash has been handed out to community projects by the county local committee.

Members of the West Sussex County Council panel gave £2,000 to Lodsworth Croquet Club towards building a small pavilion and a further £2,000 to Loxwood’s North Hall towards the cost of the new heating system being installed.

In addition, £1,500 went to Fittleworth Sports Club Association to install playground fencing and just over £1,000 to the Petworth Community Garden for equipment including solar panels, water butts and seeds.

Northchapel Swimming Pool was awarded £743 for a new liner and cover and 4Sight was granted £500 for low-vision equipment in the Midhurst centre.
