Crews were called to Chichester Family Church at 6.40pm yesterday (February 27).

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said two sheds were destroyed and a third badly damaged by a fire which was started deliberately.

Chichester firefighters used breathing gear and two hoses to put out the flames.

Police have launched an investigation.

The church, which is next to Central CofE Junior School, Orchard Street, has been approached for comment.
