Appeal to trace stolen Midhurst jewellery

POLICE have today (Tuesday, April 3) released new details of a burglary in Midhurst.

Jewellery, a designer handbag and a laptop were stolen during the burglary, which took place in February.

Detective constable Jon Tizzard, from West Sussex CID, said: “The owners have only just realised that jewellery was also taken during the burglary.

“They are understandably very upset about the theft as many of the items of jewellery were not only of significant monetary value but also of high sentimental value too.”

Entry was gained to the property in The Fairway, Midhurst via a smashed window at the back of the house.

The stolen items include a blue leather Gucci bag, a gold tie clip set with five sapphires with the word UPJOHN written on it, an old-looking silver snuff box, two pairs of silver Tiffany earrings, a silver ladies ring with white sapphires, a pair of gold and opal ladies earrings, a man’s gold plate watch, a silver Tiffany money clip and various other items of costume jewellery.

Anyone who has been offered any of these items for sale can call 101 quoting serial 0410 of 03/03 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
