Man attacked and robbed in Bognor Regis

A man has been attacked and robbed in a Bognor Regis street.

It happened at about 2.45am on Sunday, January 9 when the 43-year old local resident was walking home.

Four men described as being white, in their mid-twenties, and each about 5’9” to 10”, approached him in Orchard Way and asked him for cigarettes.

They then punched him and stole his wallet containing personal effects and about £100 cash before running off.

The man was detained at St Richard’s Hospital with facial injuries but is expected to be discharged later today Monday.

Detective Constable Gaye Moore said; “We are keen to hear from anyone who was about and about in the Orchard Way area early on Sunday morning and who saw these men. Please contact us on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 174 of 9 January.”
