According to solicitor Chris Chatterton, she allegedly said ‘something very personal’ which led to Fryer scratching the passenger door of her black Mini Cooper with a key after he got out.

They had been in a relationship for two years, the court heard.

It also heard how the 46-year-old left her a voicemail after the event to apologise for his actions – but only admitted to police he was responsible after they played the voicemail back to him.

Fryer was also ordered to pay the court £315 and was given a restraining order to not contact his ex-partner in any way or visit her address.
