More than 15 vehicles stopped by police in under an hour on A27 in Chichester

More than 15 vehicles were pulled up by police for speeding on the A27 in Chichester this morning (Thursday, April 9).

According to Sussex Roads Police officer Pete May, one vehicle was caught doing 85mph on the 50mph road.

His post on Twitter read: "Speed enforcement on the A27 in Chichester, 50 mph limit and over 15 vehicles stopped in 40 minutes. Highest being 85.

"The roads are quieter but the speed limit remains the same. Please slow down."
