A former detective charged with the murder of Haslemere mum-of-two Heather Cooper has been remanded in custody.
Peter Foster, 35, who is accused of killing his partner at their Surrey home, appeared in Lewes Crown Court on Friday, October 20.
He was arrested following the discovery of Heather’s body in woodland near Lurgashall, West Sussex, in the early hours of Monday, October 17.
Foster will reappear at the crown court on February 10, 2012, for a plea hearing.
Heather Cooper, 33, was a serving detective constable with Surrey Police having joined the force in 2003 and worked in the Public Protection Investigation Unit based at Guildford Police Station.
She was on maternity leave at the time of her death.
