Police seek man who helped Bognor Regis assault victim

Police are appealing to a man who helped a woman who had been assaulted in Bognor on Saturday February 27.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman from Bognor, was attacked behind Madeira Parade shops and flats between 10.45am and 11.10am.

She was left with bruising to her face.

A man stopped to help the victim and the police are especially eager to trace him.

A 26-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of ABH.

He was questioned and bailed until March 23.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0532 of 27/2.

Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
