UPDATE: Worthing man bailed over cannabis haul

Police believe that the 5kg of cannabis seized from a Worthing home could be worth much more than initially thought.

Police attended a property in Mardale Road, Worthing on January 26 and seized a large amount of cannabis.

Around 5kg was recovered and is believed to be worth between £22,500 and £35,000, according to Sussex Police.

In a Tweet by Adur and Worthing Police this morning (Tuesday), the cannabis was estimated to be around £25,000.

A 48-year-old man from Worthing has been arrested on suspicion of producing class B drugs.

He has been bailed until April 7 while investigations continue.
