Widow’s distress at theft of much-loved family caravan in Rye - have you seen it?

Police are appealing for information about the theft of a much-loved family caravan motorhome from a builders’ yard in Rye.

A black Nissan Navara and black Vauxhall Antara entered Jempsons yard where the motorhome has been kept for many years when not in family use.

The Navara was hooked up to it and it was driven away at about 8pm on May 31, said police.

Investigator Simon French said; “This theft has caused a great deal of upset and distress to the victim and her family as the caravan belonged to her late husband and was kept by the family for sentimental reasons after his death just two years ago this month.
