Crowds arrived in Fittleworth eager to see all 13 gardens open in this year’s garden trail and some £4,500 was raised for the village church of St Mary’s.
Charles Clark, trail committee chairman, said: “The open gardens reflected a huge amount of hard work during difficult weather conditions leading up to the day, with excellent and complimentary feedback from visitors.
“All of our volunteers worked hard to provide a great day out.
“The garden trail committee would like to thank those who came from the local area and from further afield to support the Trail.”
