Cyclist dies after collision

Luca Gril, 23, of Chichester Road was in collision with a silver VW Passat saloon on the A29 Shripney Road at the junction with the A259 Chichester Road, at 3.20pm on November 30.

He was taken by ambulance to the neurological centre at Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries, but sadly died on December 2.

The 41-year-old Chichester man driving the Passat was unhurt.

The road was closed for some four hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Police and highways authorities appreciate the patience of drivers who were delayed and inconvenienced.
