CHEERLEADING and Brazilian martial art combining fight, acrobatics, music and dance were among the evening’s entertainment when Midhurst Rother College (MRC) hosted its first drama and dance evening.
It was a chance for MRC students to share their talents.
It was also an opportunity to host community partners, Midhurst Dance School and the Chichester Festival Youth Theatre whose members staged some poignant and thought-provoking pieces for an appreciative audience of parents and members of the public.
Jason Franklin, head of drama, said: “The students performed to an exceptional level, showing incredible talent and passion for their art forms.”
Drama teacher Susie Wey added: “The KS3 drama club worked really hard to create a wonderful performance of The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Carol-Anne Duffy during our after-school enhancement sessions.
“Their aim was to use physical theatre to create a totally ensemble piece and the cast certainly achieved this.”
