Dates to give blood in West Sussex area

Anyone aged between 17 and 65, weighing more than 50kg (7st 12lbs) could become a donor, according to the NHS.

John Canning, lead donor relations manager for NHS Blood and Transplant for the South East area, said: “We urge regular donors and those who haven’t been for some time to book appointments now.

“We also need new donors, especially 17 to 24 year olds, and would encourage people to find out more and sign up.”

Sessions will take place at the following times:

- St Mary’s Centre, in Grassmere Close, Felpham, from 1.45pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 10.

- The Venue at the Revelation Centre, in Spur Road, Chichester, from 1.45pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 11.

- The Gordon Centre, in Canada Grove, Bognor Regis, from 1.45pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, April 16.

- Fontwell Park Racecourse, in Arundel Road, Fontwell, from 1.45pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 17.

- Haslemere Hall, in Bridge Road, Haslemere, from 1.45pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 18.
