Felix Barrow, 11, suffered brain damage and other serious injuries after he was hit by a car outside his home last October.

After the accident, Felix’s family and friends set up ‘Fit for Felix’, a crowdfunding page to support the costs of his care.

Noticing his hard fundraising work, Mithril Racing – a driving experience company based at Goodwood – gave Felix the opportunity to be driven round the track three times in a Lamborghini on July 8.

Felix’s mum, Vanessa, said: “Felix was very excited beforehand, and I’m glad his friends were able to come down and watch him – a few of them were there on the day of his accident and they deserve a treat too.”

Chris Taylor, director of Mithril Racing, said: “I am really pleased to have been able to organise this for Felix.

“We do a lot for charity and we love it. Seeing the smiles on their faces – that’s why we do it.”
