Also a cause for celebration was a successful graduation ceremony held for this year’s leavers.

The ceremony at the nursery, based in the Barnham Community Hall, on July 19 involved the children wearing graduation outfits and each receiving a certificate of achievement to mark their time at Squirrel’s Den.

The nursery currently has 60 children, who Ms Edwards said ‘benefit from the excellent facilities at the Community Hall’ including the recently developed outside play area which ‘has proved to be very popular with the children’.

The Ofsted report stated ‘children gain skills that prepare them well for their next stage of learning, including their move to school’.

And Ms Edwards said: ‘the staff team would like to wish them all good luck in their new schools’.
