ALEX BURTON is leaving everyone in Midhurst shaken and stirred.
You’ve heard of meals on wheels – now he’s serving up drinks on wheels.
Alex set up his mobile business, Burton Bar Hire, just over a year ago and is now bringing his services to the Observer area.
“I have now moved to Midhurst to find better opportunities for myself and the business in the future,” said Alex.
“I started Burton Bar Hire a little more than a year ago while working around my full-time job at a Marks and Spencer store. With most of my working experience involving hospitality and customer service, I felt I could draw up of all my passion and expertise into this role I enjoy so much.
“The idea is to provide a fully-professional and consistent mobile bar service for weddings, parties and events. Within a growing industry, and more people than ever starting their own businesses, there is plenty of competition for me to contend with.
“To stand out from the rest, my business is based on service, value and reliability.
“With very limited funding and no previous experience in starting a business, I have had to think outside the box in order to establish myself as a viable contender.
“Over the year I have received free business mentoring funded by the EU, made my own website and logo, and came up with my own simple operating procedures.
“From the few events I have attended, I have received 100 per cent customer satisfaction feedback from my clients and I’m slowly starting to build a strong reputation and image for the business.”
