Ducks help keep Harbour Hall afloat
DUCK racing was one of the attractions when a summer fete took place at Rye Harbour to raise funds for the upkeep of the village hall.
The event enjoyed bright sunshine and raised more than £600 for the hall.
Steve Tollett said: “The weather was fantastic and we had a steady stream of people through all day. The duck racing was very popular, as was the plate smashing.”
Other attractions included a beet tent and barbecue, stalls and a tonbola. Copies of the locally produced Rye Harbour Cookbook were also sold to help raise funds for the hall.
