THREE schools in the area have been presented with rewards they earned in a supermarket scheme.

Last week Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert made a presentation to Fittleworth CoE First School, St Mary’s CoE Primary School in Pulborough and St James CoE First School in Coldwaltham following their efforts in Tesco’s schools and clubs scheme.

Last year, 102 schools and clubs in the Arundel and South Downs area collected a total of 893,020 vouchers, with 90 of them ordering equipment worth £24,981.

The three schools collected their the equipment they had chosen during a special visit to the Tesco Metro store in Pulborough.

The scheme, which has been running for 20 years, gives schools and clubs useful items in exchange for vouchers earned with grocery shopping bought at Tesco, meaning they can receive a wide range of equipment such as IT products, sports kits and outdoor learning tools.
