Emergency services called to 'medical incident' in Eastbourne

Here’s why a large police presence was seen in Eastbourne yesterday (Sunday, February 12).

Fire crews and police with riot shields and battering rams were seen in Exceat Close in Shinewater yesterday afternoon.

Sussex Police have now confirmed that the emergency services were attending a ‘medical incident’.

Emergency services attended an address in Exceat Close, Shinewater, at about 12.50pm on Sunday, February 12, in response to a medical incident,” the spokesperson said.

“Officers and emergency services dealt with the incident and were later stood down from the scene.”
