Emergency services rescue man trapped under van in Midhurst

Ambulance and fire service crews were called to the car park in North Street, Midhurst shortly after midday today (Thursday, November 3) where a man was reported to be trapped under a van.

Fire crews from Midhurst, Haslemere and Chichester used airbags to raise the van and rescue the pedestrian.

A spokesman for the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “luckily the casualty received minor injuries and was released quickly.

He was treated by the ambulance crew and taken to hospital shortly after 1pm.
