Gwyn Jones Farm Diary

Spring has arrived overnight! Rain swept in from the west last week, and with it came a massive jump in temperature. We are fertilising the grassland this week, in anticipation of real growth taking place in a matter of days.

The sand at Tillington has responded already, and I expect to trun the in-calf heifers out by the end of the week. That will enable us to start moving the six month old heifer calves over to the sheds in Tillington, which will in turn allow for the baby heifer calves being born this month.
