Tourist destinations along the route of number 60 bus between Midhurst and Chichester have been painted on the vehicles in a striking new livery.
And Stagecoach launched two of the new look buses which are routed through West Dean and Singleton, at the South Downs Centre in Midhurst.
They featured paintings of the historic Spread Eagle Hotel at Midhurst and the Cowdray Ruins.
Speaking at the launch, Stagecoach commercial director Mark Turner said: “The South Downs National Park offers some magnificent and breathtaking views. We have a great network of routes running across the park and our popular route 60 provides a superb link from the coast to Midhurst where further connections are available to other places of interest within the park.
“Working in partnership with the national park, we have designed a new livery that resonates with the area it serves and promotes the bus as the best way to experience the landscapes and attractions found along the route.”
The South Downs has so much to offer and our network of bus routes makes exploring the magnificent area by bus so simple.
The park’s chief executive Trevor Beattie, said: “The route 60’s new livery captures some of the beautiful countryside and heritage attractions here in the South Downs.
“As a national park authority we are committed to encouraging more people to travel sustainably around the national park and buses are definitely a stress-free, greener way to have a family outing. The whole family can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery from the top of a double decker.”
