Family affair as charity gig helps raise coffers

Three generations of musicians played together at a Bognor Regis charity gig with a difference.

Lead guitarist and singer Dave Hooper was joined by his daughter, Lee Hooper, on bass guitar and her nine-year-old son, Zac Cooper, on stage in the special performance.

They combined their musical talents to help raise 1,240.14 for two good causes.

The proceeds will be divided between the Williams Syndrome Foundation and the TOFS/Vacterl Association.

About 200 people attended the night at the Riverside Caravan Centre in Shripney Road to listen to a range of local musicians.

The Feel, Golden Boulder, Darwin, Dave Hooper Band, Kellys Heroes and Go Bananas delighted them with their repertoires.

The night was organised by friends Sue Nicholls and Ms Hooper.

Mrs Nichols said they were delighted with its success.

They chose the charities to benefit from the event because of their children's involvement with them.

Miss Nicholl's daughter, Jasmine (13), has undergone extensive surgery to correct the effects of the vacterl condition from which she suffers.

Zak has the genetic condition of Williams Syndrome.
