THE family of a 42-year-old father of two who died in a crash near Goodwood have paid tribute to him.
Ben Finch, 42, of Coombes Road, Lancing, died in a crash on Saturday, November 29, at Selhurstpark Road, Goodwood.
Police said the black BMW he was driving east, left the road and collided with a tree at about 3.30pm.
The car caught fire and Mr Finch died at the scene. DNA tests confirmed his identity, which was announced on December 24.
His wife, Victoria said; “Ben was the loving father of a 16-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son, and is very much missed by all the family.
“He was an Independent Financial Adviser who had lived and worked in the Lancing area.”
Sussex Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have appealed again for any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman said: “In particular, officers would like to hear from the driver of a dark coloured Land Rover Defender 110 that is believed to have been nearby at the time.”
PC Doug Park, of Sussex Police road policing investigations, said: “We are really keen to speak to the driver of a dark green Land Rover Defender, who was at the scene following the collision and would have witnessed the car engulfed in flames.”
