EXCITEMENT is growing in Fernhurst as The Revels draws nearer.
The Revels will be held on the recreation ground, next to the Red Lion pub on Sunday, May 17. The event is a family day out, from the procession through the village at 12.30pm to the maypole dancing and fancy dress competition.

The afternoon is filled with attractions, entertainment, music competitions, games, food and drink. The emphasis is on having fun. All of the stalls are run by residents, raising funds for village facilities, clubs and charities.
An event similar to last year’s is planned, with a range of attractions to keep everyone interested.
There will be the traditional May Queen, with her procession and coronation, the George Regis Jazz band, the Petersfield Bowman and the falconry demonstration.
There will be children’s races, a dog show, and a variety of classic cars, as well as the usual stalls, beer tent, hog roast, tombola, silent auction, tea and cakes.
