Legendary racing driver Sir Stirling Moss has praised the crowds at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The motorsport icon, 86, is a regular at the annual event and always proves a popular sight with racing fans.
Stirling said: “It’s a fantastic place. The enthusiasm of the crowds and everything, I mean take today for instance; it’s a really awful day and it’s packed. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
“I’m amazed everytime I come down the road to look up on the hill and see this mass of cars.”
Despite consistently poor weather over the course of the event, fans of motorsports have turned out in their droves.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed reaches its climax tomorrow (Sunday 26 June).
