Final chance to see amazing LEGO® Brick Animal Trail

The LEGO® Brick Animal Trail has proved a very popular attraction for both young and old.

Sunday June 26 will be the final chance to view it.

The centre is holding its Incredible Insects Weekend on July 25-26 as part of nationwide activities for National Insect Week which runs this week (June 20-26).

Pond dipping, Damsel and Dragon Boat Safaris, the Butterfly trail and Creepin’ Crafts are all included in the admission ticket price of £6 per child, and under fours are admitted free.

Dave Fairlamb, Arundel’s General Manager said: “Our Incredible Insect activities are a great way for children to discover how insects contribute to healthy, balanced habitats. The weekend also offers a last chance to see the LEGO Brick animal trail that highlights some of the animals WWT helps to protect, such as the iconic nene and our red-breasted geese.”

National Insect Week is co-ordinated by the Royal Entomological Society to promote awareness of the importance of insects in the UK and around the world. It is supported by more than 60 national partner organisations concerned about natural history, biodiversity and entomology, the study of insects.

Royal Entomological Society Director of Outreach and Development, Luke Tilley said: “Insects may be small, but they have a huge impact on the natural world. The range of activities offered will enable children and adults alike to explore the wonderful world of insects for themselves.”

Arundel Wetland Centre is fully accessible, has comfortable hides, buggy and wheelchair friendly pathways, a fully stocked cafe and gift shop and disabled and parent and baby facilities.

Entry to WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is £11.95 per adult, or £32.10 for a family.

The WWT is a conservation charity working to save wetlands for wildlife and people. Providing a fun and relaxing experience for you is just as much a part of their work as saving threatened species and habitats in the UK and around the world.

The wetland centre is located just outside the town of Arundel on Mill Road at BN18 9PB and is open from 9.30am to 5.30 pm each day.
