Fire crews were called to Easebourne on Sunday after a fire tore through a block of flats.
The fire started at the end of terrace 100-year-old building at Easebourne Lane, at 2.49am. The fire affected all three floors of the flats.
The first and second floors of the flats and the roof of the building were 100 per cent damaged by fire.
About 20 per cent of the ground floor was damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by water and smoke.
Fire crews tackled the blaze for several hours and didn’t leave the scene until 9.13am.
