Fire crews called to Tillington and Plaistow

WEST Sussex Fire and Rescue crews were yesterday (May 6) called to two incidents in Tillington and Plaistow.

Firefighters from Petworth, Billingshurst and Haslemere were called out at 4pm to land off Rickmans Lane, Plaistow, to a small fire in an electrical sub station.

The fire was out on their arrival and the area was cordoned off.

Crews let the scene by 5pm.

Shortly before 5pm, Midhurst firefighters were called to a hedge fire in Tillington.

One hose reel was used to put out the blaze, which started accidentally.

The scene was clear by 5.40pm.
