A crew from Horsham attended the small fire in a parked car at the Broadbridge Heath supermarket at around 7am.

A spokesman for the fire service said the fire broke out in the engine of the vehicle.

Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the flames. No injuries have been reported.

The fire is being treated as an accident, the spokesman added.
