Firearms officers called to Petersfield after reports of gun shot

FIREARMS officers were called to Durford Wood, near Petersfield last night (Wednesday, February 24) after reports of a gun shot.

A police spokesman said: “Firearms officers attended an address shortly before 9pm and detained a man, who stated he had let off bird scarers.

“Following a search of the property, bird scarers and a quantity of cannabis were discovered.

“The cannabis was seized and the 30-year-old was issued with a warning for possession.”
