Peter Hooper, spokesman for the show organisers, said they have appointed Aurora Fireworks again this year because ‘they always put on a professional display and give excellent value for money’.

Since the theme for this year is exotic places, he said: “We can expect a truly exotic display.”

Refreshments in the form of burgers, hotdogs, a bar and soft drinks will be available, laid on by the Sports and Recreation Association (BSRA) and the Scouts and Guides, and a collection will be made in aid of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

This show is backed by a number of groups in the village, including BSRA, the parish council, the Billingshurst Partnership, Rotary and Lions, together with generous sponsorship from Coco’s, Leech Motors and Gozone and has now become the main autumn event in the Billingshurst community.

The show will be held on October 18 at Jubilee Fields, on the western edge of the village, just off the by-pass.

Entrance to the site will on foot, no cars, via either the main entrance off the A272, or over the footbridge leading from the Coombe Hill area of the village.

Tickets will be £6 per adult, £5 per child under 14, although advance tickets are available for a £1 discount at a number of places in the village, including Jack Fuller’s Fish and Chip Shop, the Lions Shop, the King’s Arms, Jake’s Cars and Chestnut Tree House Shop.

Mr Hooper said: “Those travelling to Billingshurst by car will need to park anywhere in the village and walk across to Jubilee Fields, where all spectators will be able to get an excellent view.

“The gates will open at 6.30pm and the fireworks display will commence at 8pm. The Organisers hope that everyone will have truly fabulous and memorable time.”
