Flooding causes chaos for commuters

Commuters faced long tailbacks today, Tuesday January 18, as flooding caused lane closures on major roads in the area.

One lane was closed between the Kingsham roundabout and the Oving Road junction because of flooding.

It caused six mile queues back towards Emsworth on the A27 west bound lane, with travel time estimated at around an hour.

Large areas of surface water are also causing delays in the Bognor Regis and Yapton areas.

The A29 Shripney Road, Bognor Regis has been closed in both directions between Halfords roundabout and Shripney.

In Yapton the rain has affected Main Road in both directions between the B2132 Bilsham Road junction and the B2132 North End Road junction.
