Ford prison absconder captured in Bristol
A MANHUNT has ended in success after an absconder from Ford Open Prison was recaptured yesterday (June 14).
Kevin Brown, 54, was arrested in Bristol.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Avon and Somerset Police made the arrest at a public house in the Clifton area of the city at about 6pm on Saturday.
“Brown, 54, absconded from Ford Prison on April 10.
“He was serving a life sentence imposed at the Old Bailey in 2007 for conspiracy to rob and firearms offences.
“Sussex Police is actively seeking absconders from the prison and is sharing information with police forces in an effort to bring them to justice.”
