EXTRA funding will be available for good causes across the Midhurst and Petworth area in the new year.
Leftover funds in a committee grant pot are being offered to groups and organisations across the area.
Committee chairman Michael Brown said: “Through the Community Initiative Fund, we have been able to give grants to a variety of projects, including a defibrillator for a village hall and the installation of a climbing frame for the young people of Rogate.
“We’d love to help more people in 2015.
“I’m sure there are lots of wonderful – and worthy – charities or organisations that would benefit from a new year boost.”
Charities and community projects in the north Chichester area are being urged not to miss out on funding and to get their applications in by Christmas Eve.
The North Chichester County Local Committee (CLC) has just over £16,000 left to allocate from its community initiative fund for the 2014/15 financial year.
The deadline for applications to North Chichester CLC’s community initiative fund is December 24.
Application forms and information on how to apply, as well as eligibility criteria, can be found on the Community Initiative Funding page on the council’s website at www.westsussex.gov.uk
Grant applications will be considered at the penultimate North Chichester CLC meeting for the financial year.
The meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, January 13, at Compton and Upmarden Primary School in School Lane, Compton, and all members of the public are welcome to attend.
