The future of the new Midhurst Time Bank is in danger if funds cannot be raised to continue its work in the town.
And an appeal has been launched to raise £15,000 which is needed to continue projects for another year.
Development worker Susanna Lloyd told the Observer: “It would be a great loss to the Midhurst community if this much valued resource were to close.”
She said it was set up in February last year to provide support and help to the community through the exchange of time and skills.
“It now has more than 50 active members. The Wednesday drop-in sessions are very popular attracting both regular members and new inquiries,” said Susanna.
“This is proving to be an invaluable time for people to pop in and ask for help and support, Midhurst Time Bank is fast becoming a real support network for all age groups in the town, it is not just about trading skills.
