Generous staff donate £4,000 for good causes

Generous staff at a Ford company have made charity donations of more than £4,000 in its first year.

The employees at One4Group Ltd presented the money to a range of good causes.

A halloween event in aid of Mount Noddy animal rescue centre resulted in a 300 cheque. The staff also helped the centre by bringing in pet food and pet accessories.

A few weeks earlier, representatives of McMillan Nurses had received a cheque for 1,000.

The same ceremony also saw 300 given to St Barnabas Hospice and 300 presented to the Soteria Trust educating children in Africa to add to the 235 it had previously received. Other charities which have benefited are Comic Relief, Headway and The Snowdrop Trust.

The fundraising days have been organised by Nicola Ramsden and Nick Fisk. They included leg waxes, fancy dress and raffles.

'Total fundraising this year has been over a whopping 4,000,' said delighted customer service advisor Nicola.
