Green Party’s deputy leader to visit Chichester

THE DEPUTY leader of the Green Party is heading to Chichester on Friday (March 13) to answer key questions ahead of the general election.

Amelia Womack will be at The Assembly Rooms, in North Street, at 7.30pm.

“Amelia will be speaking about key Green policies – the living wage, keeping the NHS in public hands, ending tuition fees, affordable housing and opposition to fracking – and members of the public will be able to ask questions,” said Sarah Sharp , coordinator of Chichester and Bognor Regis Green Party.

Ms Womack has been deputy leader of the Green Party for seven months and was described by Mrs Sharp as a ‘successful and inspiring speaker and activist’.

She will be joined by three Green Party prospective parliamentary candidates for the area for the general election on May 7:

- Jasper Richmond for Chichester

- Simon McDougall for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton

- Isabel Thurston for Arundel and South Downs
