Gunshot victim dies
A man found with a gunshot wound in Lewes has died.
Police were called to an address in Southover High Street yesterday (Tuesday) at 7.20pm.
The man was taken to hospital.
It is believed he shot himself.
A police spokesman said: 'We can now confirm that a man has died following the discharge of a firearm. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Unarmed officers were in attendance at the scene and for this reason the matter has been referred to the IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission).
